HK chief executive election – looking for better
On Sunday, the Hong Kong government chief executive election will be held. Although people have different voices and many said we must take the “blank” vote or vote abstention, it seems we still have no right to take this action because it not really a VOTE. People wrote on facebook everyday and those one who care about the freedom of our future came out to encourage that we should have a “mock election”. Then there is one done by the HKUPOP, they kept doing this kind of Survey since Jan 2012. As the survey have been done by several rounds, at the first beginning, Mr CY Leung had almost 40-50 percentage of support. But up to yesterday, 222,990 people voted though mock election online and 55% vote “blank”. Mr CY Leung have 17%, Mr Tong have 16% and Mr Ho have 11%. It have been told that at least some of the us want to have a right to vote the Chief person by our own. No matter it’s useful or not.
Remember the date back to 2003, HK had a very bad luck year. SARS killed 299 life between few months. The government reacted slowly to control the disease but then tried to pass the basic law article 23. It triggered the problem and approximately 700,000 people came out to march. This was the most democratic alliance ride in last ten years, which we still remembered the painful somehow.
Our chief person Mr Tung’s and Mr Tsang’s era will pass very soon. We are still fighting for remain unchanged of our democracy and freedom. It seems easy and it seems so hard too. We are looking forward to be better always.
Finally: CY Leung win the election with 689 tickets, which Mr Ho had 76 and Tong Tong got 285. Updated on 25 March 2012.
